Using the Sales Contract Page
In the Sales Contract Page a contract can be modified, statisitics can be viewed and invoice creation can be initiated. The navigation bar offers key actions which will be explained in this article.
The first part of the page offers an overview of all Contract Information like the Customer Name or how the contract is going to be invoiced. In the Sales Contract Lines Sales Contract Items can be inserted. Invoice Details and Shipping information can be edited in the bottom of the page.
On the right part of the page the sales statistics or attachments are visible. If using the tablet view, it is better to hide this part of the page for better overview of the Sales Contract Lines.
Add/Modify the Contract Header
While the Contract was created by the wizard Create New Contract, some information like the Subscription Period or the Time of Payment were inserted into the Contract Information.
Some of these information can be updated, some may not because of the unterlying funcionality, which could cause wrong invoiced when changed manually.
Typically information like External Document No. or the Contract Status are edited by users.
Modify the Contract Lines
Enter new Contract Items to the Sales Contract. The Bill from Date will be automatically set to the Next Invoice Creation Date. The Last Billing Period will be empty; it will be filled once this line was invoiced for the first time. Enter a Quantity for the Contract Item and decide if the price is suitable.

Deactive Sales Lines Often changes to contracts occur. Therefore we offer the possibility to deactivate single sales lines. To deactivate a sales line enter a Stop Billing date that lies before the Next invoice Creation Date shown in the Contract Information.

Hide Finished Lines To give a better overview of all active sales lines all finished sales lines can be hided. To hide the finished lines click in the Lines Menu on Manage and then on Hide Finished Lines. All finished lines will be hidden.

Show Finished Lines For research purpurses the hidden lines can be shown again. Navigate in the Lines Menu on Manage and then on Show Finished Lines.
InfoBox Information
On the right side of the page the infobox is available, which shows information like the amount of Sales Contract per connected customer or deeper insights to the contract itself
- Contract References
- See how much Sales Volume the contract created tough all of the billing history.
- Get an overview of the total profit that was generated by this contract.
- See the Margin in %
- All connected documents as Sales Invoices, Posted Sales Invoices or Posted Credit Memos are just one click away. Simply click on the Cue and all related documents are shown.
- Contact Line Details This part of the InfoBox shows depper insights to a single Sales Contract Line that is selected. Additionally to the information that is shown in the part above the total quantity sold and the Total quantitiy credited is shwon. As an additional reference the orignial Sales Quote and Sales Order number are shown on this part.
Invoice a single contract through Contract Page
On the Navigation, click on Home. Two options are offered
- Make Invoice
- Makge Posted Invoice

Make Invoice When this option is selected an unposted Sales Invoice will be created after the Document Date and Posting Date are approved. The dialog will ask if the newly created Sales Invoice should be shown. The Sales Invoice can then be posted on the Sales Invoice Page.

Make Posted Invoice Choosing this option results in a posted Sales Invoice. After approving or changing the Document Date and Posting Date the dialog will ask if the newly created Posted Sales Invoice should be opened. After clicking okay you it will be opened.
Print a Sales Contract Overview
On the Navigation Print/Send you can create a preview of the Sales Contract or send it out via E-Mail.
Navigate through connected information
The Fyn Contract App makes it easy to access all related information like:
- Customer
- Contact
- Invoices
- Posted Sales Invoices
- Posted Sales Credit Memos
Deactivating a contract
When a contract should be deactivated (full contract) the Contract Status on the Contract Information needs be changed to Inactive. As a result all lines will get a Stop Billing Date and the Sales Contract can not be invoiced again.
Reactivate a contract
It is possible to reactivate a deactivated Sales Contract. Simply change the Contract Status from Inactive to Active. All Sales Contract Lines will be activated again.
